Anyone have simcity 2000 v1.10, or the v1.10 patch?
It seems the company who made it has dissapeared.
I have v1.0, but I want to be able to play in VGA, which v1.1 supposedly allows. Is there anyone out there willing to host their copy, or even email me the folder? You need a registration key to play anyway, which is not held in the application folder, so I couldn't possibly pirate the game this way.
ziosoft are still around. Sim City is here:- http://eng.zio.co.kr/pda_simulation_01.asp#2. I could not check if they had a suitable download as my work nanny internet blocking software wont let me look!!!

Mark....
The page it links to doesn't have anything on simcity at all. It's all gone for whatever reason.

It works, but the icons are extremely small, and the text in dialog boxes isn't displayed.
Here's the scoop on ZioSoft SimCity 2000 AKA - Don't do what I just did...
I recently bought an Axim X51v to replace an old iPAQ 2210. On the iPAQ I had SimCity 2000 version 1.01. I heard from this site that version 1.1 was compatible in VGA mode so I checked Handango. Sure enough I found SimCity 2000 version 1.1 listed. So I bought it thinking I was getting a newer version. Turns out what I just purchased (2 days ago) was version 1.01 (same version I had).
This makes me think that who-ever typed 1.1 actually meant 1.01 (typo)???? Feel free to prove me wrong anyone.
Anyhoo the version 1.01 is made for a screen 240 x 320 (Not VGA) although it works on a VGA device - just not at VGA resolution.
i've been playing s2k again, and i discovered the only way this game works properly in vga is with ozvga (true high res). with forcehires or the mui file, all the dialog boxes are messed up.
anybody have any other solution to vga-ize simcity 2000? the ozvga method takes too much time (soft reset before, soft reset after).
it's still a great game though, as much as it may not support vga out-of-the-box (even if the company doesn't exist anymore)
i guess if there's no other solution, i can keep ozvga-ing it every time i desire to play...unless anybody else can think of anything else
I never said it was bad software, im just saying it would be alot easier if the company was still in business, v/c they would probably release a vga version or patch.
