Has anyone played MYST on their PDA? Is it worth the purchase. Any bugs?

Personally, I found that Myst played exactly like the original. of course the graphics lost a bit of the impact at such small detail, but is still great.

I am trying to go through it in order to prepare for the 20th when Riven is released.

I am currently playing it too and would agree with darhorn, it looks and plays exactly like the original but with less graphical detail. Its a good port in my opinion and worth the $ if you liked Myst on Mac/PC.

Man... I remember the original Myst for the pc. That seems like ages ago.

Can you load the original game on the PPC? Or do you have to get a special edition?

you will have to get the ppc port of the game, it isnt as easy as copying the pc version over :)

The only problem with Myst on the PPC is that you know how to win from playing the PC version, so if you figured it out on the PC, it loses its authenticity and newness....

very true, but any game that sits for 10 years is almost new again when you pick it up :) I mean, i remember the approximate storyline, and some of the puzzles.. but definitely not all.

I bought it more for the fact that I just loved this game on the ppc, and was pretty cool to play it once again on my handheld.

Hmm.. I might have to give it a go. I haven't tried it. Never even played it on the PC.

I tried the first version and it was pretty frustrating...
Now I see they have come up with a new game engine, so I'll give that one a try and see if it has really changed.
I'm also waiting for Riven to come out on PPC... Hmmmm, seems like I'm gonna need a bigger battery :)
