Having the exact same problem... I have never been able to try out any rom as it always hangs when trying to load one. I can make any setting before loading without any problems but as soon as I try to load a rom it hangs in the exact same way as for the qouted poster, the link still opens PIE but PocketSnes itself doesn't respond in any other way. Does it make any difference that my x50v is japanese (ie the ROM)? Also both pocket snes and the roms are in the same folder on my storage card (CF).

I use pocket snes version 1.12.201 its very important that you choose the right settings for your device on my x51v my pocket snes options are set as follows display: should have transparency effects checked, frame skip rate of "1" - sound: both sound emulation and sync sound checked, audio quality 8 bit, slider in the middle - system every thing should be unchecked and cycles should be "100", I hope this helps!!!

Tried all that still no joy.
I also have an X51v. Pocket snes 1.12.201. Settings as you described.

I still get a frozen opening screen POCKET SNES etc with a html link after I try and load a ROM file. I've tried putting the program in various places CF card, device and root directorys. Non seem to work. I know the ROMs are okay as they work on Snes 9x on PC.
Have you any other advice, as it's frustrating knowing someone with the exact same setup as me has the program working fine. So it's obviously something I'm doing differently.
Thanks you.

The only other thing I can think of is available memory. Make sure you go to settings/ system/ memory/ and stop all running programs before launching emulator. If there are alot of programs running it takes the system resources. Oh and I've made a correction to the sound settings above in Pocketsnes you need to have both sound emulation and sync sound checked, audio quality 8 bit, slider in the middle. By the way my version of pocket snes is version "1.12.201 talas opengl es build 01-27-05" I tried several others before this and they were not successful but this one is!

Test build 11-16-04
DK1,
It looks like you have a much newer build of pocket snes. Google doesn't find anything; can you remember where you downloaded it?
Thanks for the post.

I mentioned this on another thread, but try out Morphgear. The SNES module is free/opensource so you don't need to pay. It runs full speed (w/o sound) on my X5.

I'm suprised it runs "great" - PocketSNES for me is too slow to be playable. I guess I could do some RPGs, but I wouldn't really enjoy it. MorphGear was a great find for me. The sound works, btw, but it lags the play.

I have the same problem. X50v, WM2k3 SE, A05. My file is also dated Nov. 2005, so I know it's the right one. It locks up when I try to load a ROM.
I tried Emulamer's "test version" with the same ROM and it works fine. After hearing so many folks praise this new version's speed (mostly x51v users but some x50v users as well), I'm green with envy.
I almost hate to ask, but could it be that there is a problem with certain x50v's?
