Hmm New Axim X51v = Driving me NUTS!

I just spent around $1200AUD on an Axim X51v + Keyboard...

I have had iPAQ's in the past and wanted to upgrade to the better hardware that Dell machines offer, so I did.

However, now that I come to load up all of the programs I used to use and some that I wish to use now (and have purchased for it ) I now find that there is some kind of stupid memory allocation as part of either the way that Dell hasset up the PPC or as a part of WM5... Whichever it is, its annoying me.

I cannot load my ROM's in any of my emulators because I have "insufficient memory", I cannot run the new Quake 3 port, my homebrew games (recompiled, still no luck.) any of my memory demanding software will not load at all.

Can anyone out there offer any sort of help on this? Anyone else got the same problem?
Lets have a bit of a brain storm... would be very much appreciated

stupid question, but all software is for WM5 right you said you "upgraded" from a iPAQ if that was running an older OS then those programs would not work on your new x51v..
X50v
4 GIG CF Microdrive (everything)
1 GIG SD card (movies & more)
512MB SD card (GPS maps)
512MB SD card (programs)
Bluetooth GPS

tons of programs
to many to mention or I just forgot

quote. "why do things the easy way when complicated works too"

:/ I didn't really think it a stupid question. I upgraded to a better set of hardware and a new OS. These apps I am trying to run work on my friends PPC running WM5... just not my X51v...

It's not quite how you're making it out...

All I really want to know is if anyone knows a good GBA emulator that works with the X51v and whether PQuake does (Q1)... Either some hacked way, or whether it's just a fact that the memory allocation tool in WM5 with my x51v is rooted.

Same problem

Yeah, I have the same problems... I have 2 pocket PC's. An X50 (WM5) and and X51v. Both of them can run some games, then there are the other applications that only the X50 can run. Does not make sense to me, especially seeing as it's the 'same' OS, and the X51v has the superior hardware.

I'm hanging for hints on this one too. I want Gameboy Advance on my PPC... and Quake 3 more!

(B.T.W. try playing Cube on your PPC, it's good for me for now.)
