THere're PC emulators, but none of them is powerfuul enough to run Starcraft at a decent speed.

I'd rather see Total Annihilation, which is the game that really defined the RTS genre. However, SC is cool, too. I still pull it out every once in a while, probably not often enough, though.

Oh yeah... Total Annihilation all the way. Starcraft was just an 'afterthought' for me back then. But.. it would be very cool to see some of the retro computer games ported over to pocketPC.

Technically, if you only take the pure RTS engine into account, Total Annihilation is indeed much better than Starcraft - it has much better pathfinding algorithms, much more units etc. As far as the overall 'feeling', the music etc. is concerned, however, SC is much better IMHO.
I bought both games back in 1997-1998. Have played some hours with TA - it just couldn't 'catch' me. After that, played years with Starcraft (it has so much better overall gameplay that make the RTS engne problems easily forgotten) :)

Couldn't Starcraft work as a mod to Warcraft/Wargus?

It could be possible to set up a team so we could port/emulate our own Starcraft.
It is not my fav game but I really miss a good strategy game.

darhorn may be using the Windows Mobile port of Freecraft (a.k.a. Wargus), a free Warcraft II clone.

HOw did I miss this thread???
I would love a starcraft port. If it were tweaked a little you wouldn't need a keyboard - just screen taps.
I would even break out my Axim for that (I've been using my IPaq from work for everything).

I love alla those. I was a demon at C&C. The guys would have to team up to beat me. I knew some naaassssty tricks.
Now, I really love Starcraft, it's just perfect. They need to get to work on SC2.
