I wanted to test & review Cube for its 2700g support, and all of a sudden, the old site, along with the Pocket PC-related discussion has gone. The new page is that of some German boy.
Here's a link to the latest version I could find. It's dated August 29, 2005.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, the PPC here is Mac Power PC, not Pocket PC. SourceForge doesn't have the Pocket PC stuff; it was linked from the above, no longer existing www.cubeengine.com forum thread and also hosted on cubeengine.com.
I have downloaded the files as linked above but when I unzip and click on the application file I get a '....cubeppc\cube.exe is not a valid Win32 application'. What am I doing wrong, I have the game installed on my desktop and would like to get it happening on my 51v. First post here by the way and this forum has helped me extensivly work the kinks out of my latest tech tool/toy.

Overwrite cubeppc\cube.exe with the one in cube_2004_05_22_pocketpc_bin_xscale_opengl_es_opti mized.zip and run it on your PDA. The former should work (to a certain degree) though too so I don't understand why you did get that error.
Or...., thought of this on the drive in to work, maybe I am installing wrong, I have been opening the file on my desktop and attempting to install from there, should I be simply putting that whole unzipped folder into my sync folder? and then opening on the handheld?

Yes, just copy over the entire directory to the PDA, preferably with a card reader or Total Commander so that no implicit file conversions (which can cause a lot of trouble - see for example this blog entry on the subtle errors it can cause during the PC -> PPC copy) take place.
