Morphgear locks up on x50v
I installed Morphgear at the weekend, and even though I couldn't get the sound working (and I hear it's poor anyway) Generator did a pretty good job of Sonic the Hedgehog. Shame it couldn't render Road Rash properly, but you can't have everything.
However, as of yesterday it no longer works - Morphgear starts, but then locks the device, meaning I have to do a soft reset. I've uninstalled first Generator, then Morphgear itself (and reinstalled it, obviously) but the problem remains. I can only guess that something in its configuration is tripping it up - certainly changing the mode from Auto to GAPI made it lock up before, but a soft reset always cured it of that. The thing is, I can't figure out where the config is stored. I've looked in the likely folders and in the registry, but nothing fits the bill. Any ideas?
Also, does anyone know what the current status of Morphgear and Generator development is? Are there likely to be any more developments down the road?

If you require to load Morphgear up properly, catch me on the weekend this week. As for Morphgear's status, once we became open-source we hoped people would gain an interest in porting emu's to it and possibly improve/update our others.
it happened at first but died off mid last year, so the answer for Morphgear's status is that it has gone on high hiatus (hopefully i spelled that right)...

Aw, that's a shame. I guess there's a rolling wave of willing developers keeping up with the latest gadgets, and everyone's now happily writing for the PSP and eying up whatever's next. Maybe WM5 based phones will get people back into the Pocket PC as a platform?
Anyway, thanks for the offer of help this weekend - I was hoping you'd eventually see this thread. I can wait until then as I've got plenty of other things to keep me busy!

Okay, I got it working again by deleting the vga aware key in resource hacker. However it doesn't look as good as before as, unsurprisingly, it's no longer vga. It worked before, I don't get it?

Once you make it hires unaware, go into Morphgear's Global Settings and swap your driver to Gapi. Make sure you install Emulamer's Gapi Tweak 2.0 as well to get the full speed effect.

I did - however it doesn't make any difference to the resolution. It also makes the screen do a weird thing where it flashes completely white and fades to normal several times after starting morphgear or switching between its options and a ROM. This isn't exactly a showstopper as it does stop after a few seconds, but it's odd and I thought I'd mention it in case it rings any bells.
