GBA emulator

I heard that running the gba emulator morphgear isnt very good for speed,
but if there was a gba emulator made for dos then coudnt you use pockedos to run it?
will that see any improvements?

doubt it'd work ...pcoket dos is an emulator (Afaik) so you'd have an emulator running on another emulator running in pocket pc OS ...have a gut feeling it wouldnt work .....

PocketDOS isnt all that fast anyway, and you need the registered version to take full advantage of it anyway.......however, once you get it started, its actually pretty decent......you can even play Wing Commander rather nicely on it.......;)

However, I would recommend a proper GB or GBA emulator, and one that is dedicate to GBA (not like MorphGear, which is 6-in-1 emulator). PocketBoy is smooth and fast, and YAME is also coming along very nicely too......

Just to post my opinion, I don't see anything wrong with the all-in-one MorphGear. It is more or less just an emulator front end. If you look at the files it uses, it DOES have a separate engine for each of the emulators. But I agree that GBA hasn't come very far on it yet.

Just the fact that its way slower than any standalone emulator is reason enough......;)

There's no way it would work. Pocketdos doesn't emulate 286,386,or 486 -- let alone any pentium. GBA's are 32bit -- an 8bit system could not emulate it in any way. Sorry.

Check this site:
http://www.pocketgamer.org/homeindex.php.
Go to Emulate, and you'll find all the emulators for the PPC ;)
