Has anyone gotten Quake 3 to run on the X51v?

Just wondering because when I try to load the game it says that there is not enough memory.

Its not really WM5, it's Dell. I've seen plenty of other WM5 devices with way more memory available than our x50v\x51v has with WM5. Ours have 49 MB Total and 28 MB Available. Most others have about 55-59 MB Total and around 40 MB available. Its all the crap Dell has loaded onto the device. Such as the Odysee client which wastes 2 MB of RAM, wether your using it or not. I dont know why it just cant sit on ROM and then load into RAM when needed. But thats Dell for you.

Not necessarily. Both the HTC Wizard and the HTC Universal have around 30M free RAM too.

Well actually it doesn't - it's the storage ROM that it occupies, not the precious RAM. You can, however, still remove the shortcut from \Windows\Startup with any PPC-based File Explorer tool:

BTW, answering the original question: nope, it's not possible to make Q3A 1.1b work on a non-memory-upgraded x51v. I've spent quite a lot of time on this problem today.
