This may seem like it belongs in a different forum, but it only happens with this one program. See, with I hit the button to power off while playing this game, then power back on, even a second later, my X5 goes fully dim. My settings are the same as they've been for 2 years and this doesn't happen with any other program/game. I have to shut the game down, goto the brightness setting and tap the adjuster bar (it still shows near full brightness even though it's dim). Before you tell me that I'm pressing the power button too long or that I have the settings goofed, niether is the case. If I set it so that it dims after 30 seconds of non use, for example, the game will dim, but there's noway to undim (ie, holding the power button down to dim/undim in this game doesn't seem to work)

I just can't figure it out, because dozen of people clamour about this game, so that can't be happening to everyone or I imagine they'd talk about it. Hmmm...

It happened to me 1 time, except when I checked the brightness setting, it was turned all the way down. I didn't put it there.

So, I put the setting back to where I always keep it and havn't had a problem since. I've been using the game only a week though.

Yeah, well it happens to me every single time. Say I have the X5 set to dim after 30 seconds of non-use. If I'm playing the game and let the 30 seconds I can simply touch the screen and it brightens back up. But if I power down, then power up the screen is bright for about 1-2 seconds then goes dim and there's no fix other than Exiting the game, and adjusting the brightness setting. (which can be tough when the game is during it's night phase and everything is really dim). It's a shame, because I like the game...

That's weird. I've been playing AirIslands since it was released and have not run across this problem. You might try posting over at the AirIslands forum and see if they Spb gang has any suggestions.

Actually, I believe the url is www.spbairislands.com. I've been playing with it for a few weeks with no problems, either--except that I can't manage to squeeze out more gold from my little people!

I did a hard reset, then reinstalled the game... hoping to remove all other variables. However, the problem persists.
