Mahjong question - Asia & Emperor's

I've been demo-ing both Gamebox Asia and Emperor's Mahjong and I have a question for those that actually own the games.

Both games are full screen and there doesn't seem like there's a way to pause the game and bring up another application then go back to the game.

In Emperor's it looks like I can pause the game, exit out of the game, then open the game again and resume it if I want. But this all takes a lot of time with the opening & closing.

In Asia, I don't think that there's a way to resume a game after you've closed and reopened it. I do only have the demo though. Is there a resume feature in the full game?

I prefer the way Asia looks compared to Emperor's but this is a bit of a deal breaker for me. Am I missing something and it is possible to pause the game and go to another application without closing it? A third party app maybe?

Thanks.

I have Asia (the new VGA version 3.2) and you are right. There is no way to pause, exit and resume, or minimize and do something else and resume. There is a pause within the game but you're still stuck in the game.

Thanks. I had a feeling that was the case.

I think what I really need is a switcher program, but I haven't found one that will pop up over a full screen game even when a button is assigned to it.

Emperor's is way better IMHO. I never got into Asia for the same reason of not being able to resume a game. Plus I think Emperor's has cooler sounds and pieces.

The only reason I'm not sold on Emperor's is because the graphics look fuzzy on my screen while Asia is crystal clear.

Maybe I should post my question about switchers since the pause thing is the only thing holding me back from getting Asia.

Thanks for your opinions!

I was really hoping that they would add an autosave with the update, but I guess I'm just happy they added the VGA. It looks great! :approve:
