How do you install it ? Well, you can always run its installer.....

Seriously, you just need the CAB in a directory, unpack it, and you have all the necessary files (i.e the pocketquake.exe, that is ). Then simply drop the corresponding paq file, and you are ready.....simple as that.

Dont expect too much though....FPS is about 14-15, and the controls are somewhat difficult, but you should get a kick after watching run on the Axim...

Personally I hated it, its kinda
nice for the fact of having it on your
pda, but its not playable...

I like to keep DOOM on my pda
i have doom and the Doom 2 wad
file on my pda and play it all the
time.. its nice and smooth compared
to quake... and brings back memories
of playin Doom on a BBS in my area..

DOOM on a BBS.......damn, this brings back memories, trying to play DOOM over a 720bps modem (I'm talking '94 or so.....)

And its playable, but not perfect. FPS is below 25, unless you resize the screen, in which case you get horrible clipping......

Once you set the controls in Quake, is there a way to lock them ? I seem to have to reset the controls each time I play.

Crazyfish! Setup your autoexec.cfg to do all your control mappings.
