Favorite Freeware Games

There are plenty of freeware games out there, but most of them are junk. Lets make a list of quality freeware games available for the Pocket PC.

Here is a freeware version of Chess that I think is pretty good.

I vote for 7 Colors, a neat little strategy game.

Go way down near the bottom of the page and look for a link to "7 Colors v1.4".

I have it installed, but I haven't played it online yet... but when I play it locally, the computer keeps kicking my butt (even on the easiest level.) It could really stand to have an UNDO button. :P

I've been a fan of Dope Wars since it was Taipan, a game for the Apple IIe.

This is a link to the only known version of Dope Wars for the Pocket PC. In my opinion, it is awful. The interface is intolerably difficult to navigate.

http://dopewars.scum.dk/

However, there is an excellent version of Taipan for PocketPC that I *LOVE*. There's a free 2-year demo (my record score happened in 13 months). I have spent only $10 on any software for my PocketPC, and this was it. I know it's not freeware, but I had to mention it:

You can buy it here:

Dope wars is the best. With the PPC version, you can set the high and low for drug prices. You can changes the messages and also the frequency you see the messages!

I manipulated the cocaine prices and won 400,000,000. The ironic part of this game. The addicting nature of it, trying to beat the previous score. Like a drug itself.

My favorite free game is Pocket Water Works. It seems simple and boring, but it is just so much fun to build land and see water running down it.
