I just got a refurbished x50v. The Bobble word game (& suite) which I used to play (for hours) on an Ipaq 2215 runs v - e - r - y slowly on the Axim. Some of the animation seems to be missing (color, movement, etc.)
Is anyone else running this game and/or its suite? I like the software so much that I am thinking of sending back my Axim and reactivating my Ipaq!
Although I have no experience with this game, try selecting a higher processor speed.
Also Try installing the game to memory instead of a card if that is where it is installed now.
In MYPDA I have links to all Free games that work great with the X50v!!
BTW Welcome to Aximsite!!!

Thanks Avatar for the welcome. This is an incredibly informative site. Just by reading here, I learned alot about my Axim even before it arrived.
The game is installed to the built-in memory. Installing it in main memory gives the same result. I tried cranking up the processor... that slightly sped up an eviscerated animation. I'm at last glad to see that I was trying fixes that made sense to others!

Hi Crawil. Others' experiences with it would be really helpful! http://www.tildetech.com/wordgames/products
The speed & tap-touch of the games might be hard to assess. If you try the "Bobzee" game and don't get a green background at the bottom of the screen (which appears on the developer's screen shot), then your installation would be like mine.
I installed it to my x50v in BIS and it ran fine. I then uninstalled and re-installed to an SD card and again, it ran find, except that I really suck at Boggle (Bobble)! Maybe an upgrade to .NET 2.0?
If it's that important to you, you might make sure there isn't some other software that's causing a conflict. Backup everything up, hard-reset, and install things one at a time and see if the slowness comes back.

Are you runninh the latest version? it might be worth removing it completely (including from activesync) and reinstalling from the version on the web

Crawil & Psionandy... Many thanks.
I've tried the upgrade to NET 2.0 and downloading/reinstalling the game from the web. I guess that hard reset is the thing to do. Your having tried the game on your x50v's -- and finding that it works -- motivates me. THanks again!
