Does rage of mages : II have a VGA version when you buy it? The trial looks terrible on my hx4700's beautiful screen. ;-)

I feel the same way about the display on my x50v, but i think that is just the way it is..
it doesnt look very crisp..

EDIT: yep the full version has the same graphics :)

sorry guys been away for a few days. well im looking to spend at most 5 bucks....lol. i know its cheap, but want to make my pda a gaming pda for trips and such. i found a game i been dying to get. the very first zelda. just have to figure out how to play it now again...lol that game was the best thing i ever played. still today. also anyone know of a something like diablo 1 or 2 for pda? i seen everquest and i liked the looks for that but $19 is too much for 3 games. any free info is awesome.

I found Legacy and Undercroft (www.rakeinthegrass.com) to be good fun and well done.

Re Dungeon Master: I had it installed on my Ipaq 3970 and it worked very well except that I couldn't see the keys. In DM keys were sometimes left by themselves in passages. I couldn't see them on the small screen so you would probably need a walkthru to identify where to search for them. They were hard enough to see on a full size monitor. Otherwise good fun - just as it was on my Amiga.

PocketNester works very well for almost any NES game you can think of. There's an X50v-optimised version floating around somewhere as well...

Ah, it's on This page, along with x50 mix and a bunch of other misc stuff.

Also, Legacy seems to be decent, but I haven't played it too much in favour of Dungeon Master. Undercroft, I died in the first battle. I dunno what that says about the game, but it seemed WAY too unforgiving :p The fact tht a party of four could not sufficiently damage a set of rats says a lot about the game.

Yup, Chinese sites have a lot of pirated stuff. They are a real pain in the back because they just can't be shut down from foreign countries and their sysops/owners just laugh when we ask them to remove the pirated stuff.

(And don't be sorry about paying for the game. If everyone stopped paing, then, developers won't release any more games for the platform. See the example of the Commodore Amiga, which was also killed by piracy.)

Exactly. There's a PocketPC version as well as a Windows version, so you can use either platform. Both are found at RarLab.

The Windows version is an unlimited use Demo, while the PocketPC version is truely free. Your choice, but I ended up registering the Windows version 'cause I like it so much.

I never realised that Chinese Websites had so much piracy. Is this a sreious problem? OHH, I would like to mention that BearShare got hit with a 30 Million suit and settled. This will have a major impact on piracy I think, does any one else agree?

Could it actually be a .CAB file? My Windows XP recognises these as .rar files for some reason. If it is a cab file then you need to copy it to your axim and then browse to it and run it from there, it is an install file which runs on the ppc not on windows. Hope that helps Russ
