Help! How can i have 32mb+ of free ram on x50v (WM5) ?
HI,
I wold like to try out some 32mb games on my PocketGBA (Kingdom hearts :-) but i was not able to free more than 30mb of ram on my x50v (WM5). Does anyone was able to do that ?
You can try turning off all today plugins and switching your today screen to the simplest you can find (Guava bubbles?). Do a soft reset and see where that leaves you. Try uninstalling other Gui-Enhancement tools like Wizbar and whatever else you may have installed.
Barring that, a real GBA isn't too expensive and has the benefit of more comfortable controls :)

A bit confused about this GBA emulator. Do I need 32mb to play ALL games? How do i know which games require 32mb memory and which don't?
Nope. You'll only need 32M+ of RAM if you want to play 32M cartridges, not with smaller ones. (Please DO read my posts - I've also elaborated on this question too in my PocketGBA reviews.)
Just remember, it doesn't help to free up much RAM beyond 32 megs. Windows has a limitation of allocating a maximum of 32 megs to a single process. Some games have cheated by opening up files and using them as a cache to get more, but it's a shifty tactic.
Please do the following before you want to play a game:
(1) Odyssey client replacement trick (do a search)
(2) Turn off all today plugins, bluetooth, wi-fi, soft-reset device.
(3) Purchase s-k-tools product for the pocket PC (trial available) run the program "FreeUP RAM". Even after a soft-reset, this will give you a couple KB
