Well, Monahan is the codename given to the newer Intel Mobile CPUs this time around. The next generation of mobile processors, if you will. They will be available at speeds unseen before, at or around 1.25 GHz, and will most likely be mounted in the next Axim, should one come to fruition. Apparently, NVIDIA (Or ATI?) is working on a new GPU specifically for the handheld market, and if they come out with one we may very well be looking at even more of a powerhouse in the next Axims than ever before. I just hope Dell doesn't scrap the Axim line.

I'd love to see a more gaming-oriented pocket pc... you know buttons mapped so that gaming would be easier...there could be amarket in ppc gaming you know. but with 4 dinky little buttons at ONE END its hard to do anything.

i think the Axim's could get away with the amount of buttons if they would rearrange them. The way I woulda designed it if I could, would be to put the 4 buttons up top across the top and leave only the D-Pad down at the bottom.

The Axim's do not have WM5 buttons, so they don't have to be at the bottom.

Putting the buttons up across the top would allow for landscape play with the D-Pad on the left and the 4 buttons on the right... (like a controller should for anyone not mentally seeing the picture i'm drawing.)

Onscreen buttons are also a nice alternative, as Aspyr Media has shown us in THPS2. In fact, in CoD2, this may work even better - changing weapons, selecting spawn point, aiming, if all done right, would be perfect.

I'm rather pessimistic that COD2 would work on the X51v, cause the RAM's just too little. Quake 3 only runs on X51vs with upgraded ram, for example.

I can't think of any other game that doesn't run because of the shortage of RAM. (Except for Cube's not using monsters.) Therefore, I don't think the x51v really lacks the necessary RAM.

So what makes us think that this wont do...? And what the heck is up with this 'monahan'??? It suonds like they are porting games over to ppc (already done thps2 VERY nicely) and this will be yet another. Didnt' thps2 work on x50/1v's?

Can someone please SUM this all up for me?
it's safe to say that CoD2 will work on both the x50v and x51v PDAs.
