The hibernate.exe defo works. After a soft reset it gives you around 2mb back. I also noticed that after playing the game I got more RAM back lol ? so the game does very well in releasing RAM after use. I really dont think you should have an issue CAEDZ. Appologies if i am stating the obvious to you but have u gone into memory settings - running programs and stopped them all. You can also run memaid. These coupled with hibernate i get around 31mb free. I have Pocket Breez etc.

Hey that's okay, good thing I stated it here then. Also, thanks to all the people downloading these videos, I'm up to 2,468.3 MB of bandwidth usage this month! Keep it coming, it's very cool. :approve:

Anyway, that camera should be here soon, and then I can do the work of re-recording both versions of the game at 30 fps. :D I can't wait!

Also, CAEDZ (As well as everyone else), check out this thread: http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showt...ght=memrelease

This tool works best once the Pocket PC is freshly rebooted, however notice that you need .CF 2 on your axim, which I'd recommend anyway. With this and Hibernate, I am always able to play THPS2. :)

ACE m8 appreciate your efforts but can you tell us what hibernate does. Going tto that link for wm5 memory release; at the bottom it states that if used too much you could ultimately negatively affect the Axim performance ?

I think it means that the effectiveness of the application can degrade if repeatedly used in a short amount of time only because there is no RAM that can be freed anymore. I don't think it could possibly degrade the axim's performance, since I think it only calls on the WM_HIBERNATE command, which releases any RAM it can... I don't totally understand it, but I believe I know enough to know it cannot really hurt your PDA, just become less effective if run in succession without opening other applications.

Special notice of mine: It seems that Resco Photo Viewer, after running after either MemRelease or Hibernate, in slideshow mode for a little, upon exiting more RAM is released. This can raise my available RAM to close to 33 MB! :approve:

Hah, yea it does remind me of back when I skateboarded. But it is also very rewarding once I get a difficult goal done, like those sick scores or draining that fountain in PA...

When THPS2 runs, it checks to see if there's 28 Megs of RAM available. Also, 5 megs of that RAM must be contigous. If there isn't enough memory available, then THPS2 gets greedy and tries to close down all the other applications. If this fails, then THPS2 finally gives up with an error dialog.

So, I'm guessing some applications got closed down upon launch of THPS2. Windows mobile has an odd habit of keeping applications around until the memory is needed.

So has anyone unlocked Spiderman or gone to Skater's Heaven yet?

Well, make sure that it is the software version of the game, otherwise it will not work right. Also, what did you modify in the cab file, and why?
