I think and x50v is more powerful then a psp, however emulators never work as well as the original system. The x50v can barely emulate sega. Right now there is no emulator for psp on ppc. Also, sadly to say, you are never going to see games that are better for the x50v then psp (even if written for the ppc os). There just isn't as much a demand for good games games on a pocket pc then on psp. Big game manufacturers can sell millions of games at $40 a pop for psp, however the market isn't just there for ppc. sorry if i gave you more then you were askin.
The PSP was made and optimized for games, video and (as an extra little thingy) some networking stuff (browsing).
There is no way that a X51V is better than the PSP as far as games go.
No playable emulator for the more demanding games, anyhow.
Well, just wait till you see a ppc with FPU ;) (floating points units) then, you might be able to emulate psp.
Then PSP2 will be out, and you'll need the next generation pda/smartphone to emulate it. :)
(If the portable console market survives the smartphone/umpc market)
Heyy.... This was brought up a year ago... The answer is absolutly not. Yes, we do have 624mhz processors, and the psp does not. However, you have to look at the amount of polygons per second produced:
Axim - - ~1,000,000 Polygons per second
PSP - - ~7,000,000 Polygons per second
You can see that the psp has been totally optimized for gaming. It was designed not to overheat when the "pressure" was on. If you consider the Axim at 7 million polygons per second, you can see how much strain that it would deliver. It would be like a twin-turbo viper redlining for 15 minutes.... Yes, it might be able to hold out, but the results of a blown transmission, engine, turbo system, and pistons would destroy everything.

All power aside, who wants to play a console style action game with the friggin' d-pad in the middle? Or 4 recessed 1/4" plastic buttons? Best bet for good fun is an SNES emulator or a game from Aspire.
Not that I can really complain too much; if Axims looked like PSPs, I would be much more reluctant to pull one out in a corporate meeting. That's the whole point for me, to look focused and duly diligent while i'm really playing Quake... God bless these little devices.

Amen to that!
