Hi all,
I am a hardcore war gamer (not board game style though). Games like Combat Mission series, Total War series, Close Combat series are my all time favorite. Is there anything this cool for PPC? Please advise. Thank you in advance for any inputs.
P.S. BTW, I am not looking for RTS like Warcraft, AOE, Starcraft, Red Alert...In fact, I hate them.

If he hates Starcraft, there's not much of a chance he'll like WarFare Inc. Good game, but it's the closest thing you'll ever see to starcraft that's not starcraft itself.
I haven't played any of the games you've mentioned except total war- I'm guessing you're looking for Turn-based Strategy as opposed to RTS.
There's this great game I used to have on PPC set in feudal china, but I just can't seem to think of the name... Needed a visual basic runtime... Maybe someone else can pin the name on it.
That and SNES had a myriad of Risk-like games on it too, like Romance of the Three Kingdoms. SNES emulators work pretty well on Axims.
And then of course someone's been working on porting Heroes III to PPC if I remember right.

Okay, guys. I tried to download warring states myself. It says that it should be a zip file, but I can't get it to download in a zipfile. It comes up an unreadable file when downloaded. Any idea's? I downloaded Viking Saga and Cities with no problems...

Just tried it, did the same for me. Added .zip to the end of the 'warring' file in windows explorer and it opened fine then.

Global Thermonuclear War
Wow, I'm such an idiot that I actually googled "Global Thermonuclear War" to see who makes that game...
Well, at least I figured out what it referred to before I started clicking on any links like a dummy. Maybe I shouldn't read posts only a few minutes after waking up?
Okay, this is off topic for the "war" stuff, but has anyone else played Cities? What are your thoughts...Personally I find it extremely hard...I can't figure anything out...

Thanks!!! I will try out Warring States. You should try Combat Mission if you like turn base strategy. It is the best of all war games I have played in so many years.:approve:
