Going to learn to Develope PPC Soft, Need game idea!
I am going to develope some PDA software, and I was going to learn to do a game first. I am looking for some ideas for a 2d game, and I was hoping that the Aximsite users could provide me some tips. You guys can also be my BETA testers, and Aximsite members will get it free. After I figure out how to do it frist, I might make a sequal/new game and sell it(College is super expensive.) My first try will be free for Axim site members so give me those tips!

Well then, if it's 2D, make either a good RPG (but you have to compete then with the other ones out their / available via emulator) or you create a Jump & Run or something like CoutnerStrike / Half Life 2D ^^
What I'm aiming at is a 2D game that can be mutliplayer like a MP Jump+Run for two player or an RPG/ Action adventure for more player as this would be somethign new.
I'm not so sure about Strategy games but you could also do somethig like C&C or AOE / Anno.
Perhabs you should first decide what genre it should be and if multiplayer might be an option for you =)

Its not as easy as it looks.. of course "The Idea" is 90% of the work.
I have about 6 games I 'started' .. then a baby joined my family and all my free time was shot.. thats ok though because I probably never would of got around to finishing any of them due to lack of ideas and art capability

Well, I am thinking I will design a Over head tactical shooting game similar to Counter Strike 2D. I know alot of people would reall enjoy this. It should not be to hard to design, not to graphically intense, and I could add multi-player later.
I have decided on making a Flash game first, that way I can sorta get going and learn from that. I will work out playing problems first and then start to work on the game for the PDA.

Suggestion: for your first app make a clone of something simple: Boxman, PacMan, JawBreaker etc. That way you have a predefined
set of rules, a straight-foward interface, and can concentrate on the mechanics of developing for the Pocket PC platform.

Good IDEA! I might put off the CS-2D deal for alittle while. Do you know of any developing forums for PDA development.

Well, I have started work on my first flash project. I will do a few simple ones, and then mabie I will start work on my Wacky W3iner HOP!. It is going to be a game where you take a w3iner(dog) and he has to jump over logs and such, I will be posting it on aximsite soon enough.

What about a nice not-only-black-and-white Pong clone that has Multiplayer (not "real" one, just that one user controlls via D-Pad and one via Stylus).
