Hey i am kind of new to games on the pocketpc but i am in search of one similar to Diablo I or II. I was so addicted to those on the PC.. So if someone knows of one or two the information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance... Also if you happen to know of a good strategy game i would like to have one or two of those..

Arvale, Combat is different but about the closet I have tried. There are a few RPGs for the PDA, do a search of the games forum.

If you look for a good "Elder Scrolls"- like first Person RPG (simultaneuosly not-round based) then you should wait a few more days till "The Quest" will be released, it's really great!

Diablo was based on Angband and other such games but with better graphics instead of 2D tiles (or ASCII chars) and realtime instead of being 100% turn-based.

AngbandCE is an old port of this and is available here. However it doesn't have the best interface and the cab file you need to install is actually inside the cab file you download!

I have been debugging the source code, finishing a couple of the features that weren't ported and have also enhanced it to run in VGA on compatible devices with an improved interface. It will take me a while longer to completely finish, but here is a current screenshot:

If you go for Dungeon Master I'd suggest you pick up a walkthru. Sometimes keys are just on the passage floor. Visible on the PC but invisible to me on the PDA.
Dungeon Master is good fun. Really ground-breaking stuff when it came out.

If I remember correctly, some guy on the forum was able to run Diablo on his PPC by using FpseCE.

I haven't used it on an Axim, but I tried it on my HTC Wizard and it crashed my device on exiting the game and had to soft reset.

I couldn't get everquest to run on my 51v.

Wicked! Being an old schooler (who had the original when it was new!) I appreciate the link -- now I don't have to run it on an emulator. Thanks for the link.
