Are there any ports of Doom/Quake that support the VGA screen? I feel stupid playing them at 240x160 on a 640x480 screen...

Quake Mobile supports VGA. Even though it's commercial, the $18 is well worth IMHO.

Quake Mobile is fantastic and worth the money.

or you can download PocketQuake for free and use the VGA launcher to run it at VGA. Thats what I do and it works great. Plus it supports multiplayer.

Why would Handango respond? They didn't write it -- they simply sold it to you.

Also, I've had some problems with PocketQuake but now it's running smoothly. My only issue is backing out of a menu once you've entered it.
