Strategy Games

Hey guys, I'm an old fart and I used to be addicted to an awesome game called Panzer General, and then Panzer General 2. In fact PG2 was responsible for me dropping out of graduate school. I think the Dell axim x51 would be the perfect platform for me to again waste as much time as humanly possible. Does anyone know of any games simiilar to these that I can play on my axim? I'm a newb to pocket pc's so any help would be appreciated. Thanks, and I'm glad I found this site.

Tony,

I am another recovering Panzer General addict who thinks the game would be perfect for pocket pc. Alas, no such luck. I have seen two other turn based wargames you might want to check out. The first it Blitzkrieg: War In Europe, which is probably the closest thing to PG out there right now. You might want to also look at Pocket War.

There's also what looks like a PG clone available for Palm called Panzer Assault. You might want to see if you can get it to run on your pocket pc using the Styletap application (I couldn't.)

There are also free versions of two of my other favorite strategy games from the 90s. There's a free version of X-Com called Pocket UFO and a free version of Heroes of Might and Magic called Pocket Heroes.

Hope this helps.
