There's a new Atari ST emulator, CastCE, which runs pretty good, but both the disk images I had of The Bard's Tale gave disk errors... at the same place, so I think it's an emulation error...

Haven't tried PocketDos yet...

How far along have you managed to get? I had a problem today that will require me to reinstall the game so no fun for me today at lunch. :(

Has anyone else had a problem trying to get back into the game after you exit it? When I try to launch the game again, nothing happens, I have to soft reset everytime.

I have to do the same thing. It is a known bug that the developer is trying to fix. What happened to cause you to reinstall? Well, I finally saved the Dr. Circon (sp?) and collected all the parts he needed. He made the weapon for me, but I am still not leveled up enough to be able to defeat the guardian. :( :D

I just saved the Dr. I saved the game and then the next morning I tried to launch the game but I recieved a .dll error. Did you replace any of the files on installation?

No, I chose not to replace any files. What error was it? 13, 6, fatal?

It was some .dll error. I can't recall the name of the file, but it is not one of the nes that it asks to replace in the install.

Try to email the author of the game, and tell him what error you got. He might be able to help better than I can.

It is definitely worth the money. When testing is finished, the new version will have a larger map, more weapons, armor, and monsters. He also plans on having a tamed animal for riding long distances. :D

bards tale ??? now that is sad I havent played that since a loooonnngggg time ago you guys must be at least 27 and if your gonna consume time playn a game like that why not get into Morrowwind or somethn way better???

Well, I was talking about beating Nuclear Time. Morrowwind does look GREAT, but I can't play it on my PPC. LOL Now, wouldn't that be nice? :D
