Links (golf game) from Hexacto is out now

All,

Links is out now, you can get it here http://hexacto.com/game_links.php

I have been playing the demo and the graphics are great........only question i have is if you buy the full retail version, does it come with any other courses and players other than sergio and the one course on the demo?

By the sounds of the description, it is just the Sergio course. The others appear to be expansion packs. Downloading the demo now, this will most likely be a purchase this weekend....as long as it is as good as the hype has been!! :)

Alright, just played the demo of Links for PPC. All I can say is, WOW! The graphics are amazing! Backgrounds, textures, player animations, and shot animations are incredible. Also, one thing that seems to be MUCH better in Links (as compared to ZioGolf2 or TigerWoods PPC) is that the physics of the way the ball comes off the club is much more realistic. In the other games, you can have a really bad swing, and still land in the middle of the fairway sometimes. In Links however, if you hit just a BIT to the left of a good swing, the ball will hook about the same as it would in real life.

The swinging on this game will take some getting used to.....It is much more like that of a real PC Links game. With Tiger Woods PPC, the swing is pretty slow....while in Links PPC the swing moves pretty fast. It will be fine, just have to make the adjustments.

The graphics alone will make this game worth the $25. I am definately going to be making this purchase.

Also, to correct my earlier statement.....the course included is "Chateau Whistler Golf Club". The player's name is Sergio....I just wasn't thinking earlier. :)

Okay, one last thing to add, as I've played with it a little more.

Links adds a LOT more options as far as your shot is concerned. You can draw, punch, chip, etc. with just a click of the bottom menu. Also, it allows for very easy rotation of your player.

i've been playing the demo as well and love it, i'm just wondering if the planned "expansion" packs will be free or they will charge for it....................seems weird to pay money for a golf game that only includes one course, it could get kind of boring...........after the wow factor wears off

I guarantee you that they will be $5 - $10 probably. Every other Golf game on the market includes only 1 or 2 courses. Others are always offered as expansion packs. Even on PC games, this has been the case since the 80's. :)
