Hmm Do some game developers release and then forget their games?

I recently bought Tower Mogul from PDAmill. I had read that it was a great game, and decided to buy it. I had, however, neglected to install the trial to make sure it all worked (Why? Their website said it was WM5 compatible). Once I installed it, I noticed that the game would save, but then delete the game save file. This was beginning to frustrate me, so I took a look on their forums, and found that this was becoming an epidemic among WM5 users. Apparently, WM5 does some weird stuff with the memory, and the game was saving to the RAMdisk instead of the ROM. This resulted in the file being wiped once the game was closed. It appeared to only be occurring on WM5 devices. Much to my dismay, JayBot (part of the PDAmill staff) was the only one who replied, saying that they were working on a solution. That post was dated May 20th, 2006.

I love the work PDAmill has done, and I really enjoy all of their games, but this game seems to have been forgotten about. They even went through all the trouble to certify it compatible with WM5, but in reality, it did not work on many WM5 devices. I am now in the process of getting a refund from Handango, because it doesn't seem to be a priority to fix their game.

Anybody else had any experiences like this?

As far as I remember Tower Mogul was made by esoftinteractive. So why don't you ask in theier forums. Maybe Eric and Co. can help you. ;)

As far as I can tell, it seems that PDAmill now has exclusive rights over the game. They are aware of the problem, but haven't done much to fix it. They could at least respond to the emails and give some of us a refund...
