I agree the chainpus controller is not very responsive, do you really think it is the driver? I haven't had much experience with bluetooth and wonder if the delayed response time is a limitation of the technology itself? I believe that I'm using the dopod 818 driver for my axim x51v.

I use it with Genesis Plus, PocketGBA, PocketSnes and fpsece flawlessly!
The bad things are that it can be used only in portrait mode and the keys are a bit difficult to press especially when you assign them to the directions... (There are too many keys)!!
I just received my snapNtype today, and I'm quite happy with it. It is very responsive with games (so far I've only tried it with PocketGBA). I can now play games without worrying about wrecking my axim's hard buttons. That's my main reason for getting the keyboard since there aren't any snap-on gamepad for the axim.

As a keyboard, it's a little bulky, but will be useful for lengthy emails and editing of word/excel documents. I'm a x-blackberry user, so I do prefer to type with my thumbs as opposed to using the stylus.

Its not a BT limitation - some of the highest performance wireless mice out right now are BT. I've used several keyboards, never had the delay (even when gaming).

The gamepad connects using standard BT serial, then sends key presses - their program appears to poll for these updates then send keypress events to the OS.

Even if we can manage a better driver, it still won't fit the Axim :( Why oh why couldn't they use an extendable base!

Hi bully79
Are you using the chainpus controller with the dopod 818 driver on an x51v? The delays that I'm talking about ocuur with action games like supermaro world or fighting games just not very responsive. The controller works fine with rpg's, I wonder if the widcomm stack would solve the problem.

hi
the pad i got was a bgp 100 and the drivers were 1.50 version about 18mb in size. What i did was not to install the drivers by the usual method ie setup.exe.Instead i went into the folder named files, then the at the bottom there should be a folder called wince_widcomm.Double click the install.exe these worked perfect fo me on the widcomm stack!.
hope this helps!
