I use the belkin snap'n'type thumboard and it is really very responsing...
I use it with Genesis Plus, PocketGBA, PocketSnes and fpsece flawlessly!
The bad things are that it can be used only in portrait mode and the keys are a bit difficult to press especially when you assign them to the directions... (There are too many keys)!!
I was thinking about modding it to a controller...
It should be very easy ....
1) Inside the thumboard there is the circuit that generate the serial keys to send to the axim.
2) We put it in a cheap joypad and rewire 10-12 keys as direction controller plus action keys (Fire A,B,C, Start, Select, etc)
3) We attach a cable with an Axim connector
4) We can use the thumboard driver
we'll surely have at last a full functioning quick responsive gamepad. :approve: :approve:
I really
don't understand why there isn't any company who build a
stupid controller like this... It's not so difficult and it will surely became a Best Seller for the x50v/x51v....
I can't do it because it was very difficult for me to obtain one this thumboard 'cause I live in Italy and they don't sell it anywhere in Europe... I bought mine used on eBay from U.S.A.... The shipping cost was higher than the item!
