Gamepad

Hey ...Happy Holidays,

I have a question, have anyone ever heard of this bluetooth game pad by the rawfeed? (something like that) If so, whats your opinion of it? Is it worth investing into? Lastly, does it have a driver to work with the x51v WM5.0?

Thanks in advance!!!:approve:

Since it states that it works for a bunch of the ipaqs including the hx4700, I would bet it works on atleast the axim x50v with wm2003se, wm5 is probably a different matter

at $68 price seems a bit steep though, but pretty much equivalent with the BT keyboards

Some people like it. Some people don't. Unless they changed the design recently, do know it won't fit at least the X51v, not sure about the 50v though.

Thank you for both response. I guess I can get used to the pad if it don't fit. Actually, I prefer that my PDA didn't fit on the inside. I just don't want to Pay 68 dollars and the driver doesn't work for WM5.0. From search on the site...a few have posted that it doesn't seem to work with the new 5.0. Oh well...maybe someone will post who may know for sure if it works or not.

Okay, I have purchased this gamepad....but i should have asked this before I submitted the order. Do this bluetooth gamepad (which seems to work with my PDA) work with emulators on the x51v? I have the morphgear and none of the games seem to to work with it.

I searched the forum and there isnt any posting that answers this!!!

Thanks in advance!!!

Hello Kenjari

So does the x50/x51 actually fit properly in this controller? I'd absolutely love to have some sort of proper controller for my x50v. But I don't want something that is going to have to be held seperately from my PDA.. since that seems to defeat the point really.

Second question, does anyone know anywhere I might be able to buy this in the UK?

It works for the x51v, no it does not fit the PDA between the handles, in my opinion it is not a very responsive controller and does not fit well in the hands, actually I hate it, i would much rather a standard style gamepad with a cord.

Yeah, I'd much prefer a gamepad with a cord too. Not only would it be more responsive, but it would be usable on flights. Apparently somebody was trying to mod a Belkin SnapnType, not sure how it went...

I use the belkin snap'n'type thumboard and it is really very responsing...
I use it with Genesis Plus, PocketGBA, PocketSnes and fpsece flawlessly!
The bad things are that it can be used only in portrait mode and the keys are a bit difficult to press especially when you assign them to the directions... (There are too many keys)!!

I was thinking about modding it to a controller...
It should be very easy ....
1) Inside the thumboard there is the circuit that generate the serial keys to send to the axim.
2) We put it in a cheap joypad and rewire 10-12 keys as direction controller plus action keys (Fire A,B,C, Start, Select, etc)
3) We attach a cable with an Axim connector
4) We can use the thumboard driver
we'll surely have at last a full functioning quick responsive gamepad. :approve: :approve:

I really don't understand why there isn't any company who build a stupid controller like this... It's not so difficult and it will surely became a Best Seller for the x50v/x51v....

I can't do it because it was very difficult for me to obtain one this thumboard 'cause I live in Italy and they don't sell it anywhere in Europe... I bought mine used on eBay from U.S.A.... The shipping cost was higher than the item!

I bought the BT chainpus gamepad. My ideal would be said gamepad that both:
A. Fit the Axim
B. Responded quicker

Well, first one I'm not really skilled enough to fix - but the second is more a driver issue than a BT delay issue, so it may be fixed soon.
