Anyone tried reinstalling the game after the giveaway? I have problem installing the game on the sd card that day and later I found that my card was full. Now I want to try to reinstall it on the card again but wonder whether the registration code still work, as I see that the installation procedure connects to the internet, perhaps validating something.
I dare not trying it unless it is safe to do so. :)

Looks like any games, utilities, etc. that you downloaded and installed are good for one time installation?
I downloaded and installed CubeDrift and got it activated okay. Had to format my computer and installed CubeDrift again and try to have it activated but got this message:
"Giveaway period for this software is over, please check our web-site for a new giveaway".
Any of these free software are good as long as you keep them on your PPC/PC but once you re-installed them, they are no good?

Well, technically I guess you could install it more than once, but you still have to do it before the end of the giveaway. For instance, you download and install the morning of the giveaway, have a problem, and if you can manage to install again that same day, still within the giveaway period, you should be fine.
But after that, the offer expires. During the install, validation is required (so also you have to have an active internet connection while you perform the installation).
That's how they offer some value to the software vendors. They provide advertising by providing one day giveaways. As long as you don't have a system crash or something, your installation is fully registered and functional. But, no reinstalls later, no upgrades, no support, etc.
But if you install/activate within the giveaway period, a full, registered version is yours until you uninstall it or reformat your hard disk or reinstall your OS (or hard reset in the case of an Axim, I suppose).
So, it provides the users a great way to sample things and find the occasional keeper with no trial duration limitations, etc. If you find something you can't live without, you will probably want to buy it eventually anyway, perhaps when the new version comes out, or if you find yourself needing technical support.
Consider it a free sample, like say someone gave you a potted plant that normally sells for $20, a rose bush perhaps, and as long as you can keep it alive you can fully enjoy it and don't have to pay for it. If it dies and you really wish you still had such a plant, you have to shell out the $20 for the replacement. :)
(If you want something that is a free offer which is ALWAYS free, well, the common names for that are freeware, open source, etc. No doubt, many of those programs are outstanding.)
By the way, I did get the game installed on both the x50v and x51v before the offer ended. Seems to be running great, now I just need to learn how to actually play this type of game.

Oh, thanks for the clarification. I misunderstood, I thought I must download and install it within one day.
Um... well, you kind of do. Each offer is "activatable" within a 24 hour period, set by the website. If you download at hour 23, you only have one hour to do it.
If you do activate it, you can keep running it in that condition forever (barring crashes, etc.).
I'm still not sure I've made sense. Anyway, hopefully you understand despite my clumsy attempts to contradict myself :)

I was considering getting this, but I got busy that day and didn't remember until later. I gave it some thought, and realised I already have three Advance Wars games, no need for the same sorta thing on the PPC :)
