My axim x5 arrives tomorrow, what is your favorite game for it?

I want to pick up a few games for the axim, and i was hoping for a few suggestions. Ive never had a pocket PC and i have no idea what games are good.

I heard someone mention age of empires, does that run well? I loved that game, but is it playable at such a low res?

So anyway, basically just list your favorite game. Favorite free game too mb =P

It depends on what kind of game you like (sports, sims, puzzle, action, etc etc). I have AOE and it's really cool--very close to the full PC version IMHO. I also have Interstellar Flames (cheap, but ehh on fun factor for me), and Metal Strike (very cool shoot-em-up, but controls are tough on the Ax). I hear Sim City 2K and Tennis Addict are very good.

Favorite game? So far I'd have to say ZioGolf2....no telling how many thousands of holes I've shot on there! Of course, I'm about to get the new Links game....so I might be waving bye-bye to ZioGolf2! :)

I got Monopoly as soon as I got my Ax.... and of course DopeWars is a wonderful distraction....

I have AOE, but I have not played it as much as the others, or the PC version.

my favorite is Monopoly, hands down.

If you like Role Playing games, then give EverQuest for the PPC a try. Good game. I also play the following:

Monopoly
Queue
Cubeex
Battle of the Generals (similar to Stratego...but better)
Emperor's Mahjong
Diamond Mine
Dr. Pocket (like Dr. Mario)
Chess Genius
Snailz (like Worms for the PC)
Marble Worlds
Hyperspace Delivery Boy
Snood
Strategic Assault (real time wargame)
Many, many, many more...

Most of these aren't free, but do have trial versions. I spend way too much money at Handango as it is...

If you give us some specifics on what type you like, maybe we can be more specific...

Currently, my favorite game is BookWorm. But here are a few that I also play:

Age of Empires
EverQuest
Insaniquarium
HyperSpace Delivery Boy
DreamQuest's Championship Hearts/Spades/Euchre

Of course Diamond Mine is a must have.

My dell arrived today (a good 13 days before the original projected delivery), and its charging now. Ill download some trials now of the games you tried, and will be making a few purchases once i decide which i like.

edit: as for what kind of games i typically play. Well im really not taht big of a gamer recently, but on the pc pretty much all i played was FPS's, which i doubt are worthwhile on the pocket pc quite yet (though i did see that gang wars upcoming release). I also like rts and strategy games, though im willing to give anything a try. Platformers/shooters are always fun too.

Jimmy Ark is a good game...... I haven't really seen anyone on these forums talk about it but i happen to enjoy the game.

Its like breakout but better!

Jimmy Ark was one of the first games I purchased for my (first) PocketPC...great game.

Argentum and AOE are both awesome. I like Strategic Assault as well...quite a bit cheaper than AOE.

I've tried a couple of FPS games, but haven't found anything that great for the PPC yet.
