"I just wanted to let you know that we're in process of making the game available via download at http://www.pocketgear.com. It should be up in the next week or two! Also, multiplayer mode will be availble shortly and is free to anyone with a copy of the Single Player version."

Cod2

Just bought it and I love the game. I have one complaint, you have to change the user name on the axim so the game will work with the registration code each time you lanch it. This to me is poor design and gives the game a released unfinished feel. Again not that big of a deal but I get tired of spending $30 to $60 on a new program only to have to download a patch before I ever use it so it will work right. 4 out of 5

Does someone have a fix/workaround on this? thanks

The screenshots look great, though I would probably just settle for a PC or console version of this since my Axim isn't endowed with a graphics accelerator chip.

So what do you guys think? They did a pretty nice conversion but the control is pretty tough on the axim it's gonna take alot of practice to get down moving and tunrning and aiming with the stylus. The same problem I had when I had a DS. It's interesting the Package talks about online and it's not available in the game. That and the arcane device naming security tells me this game was a tad rushed.

The game is ok to play no lag that I can see, but the graphics are turned way down, the bad guys look more like terrorist than Germans. I have big hands so the controls are a little hard to use. But that is true about most games that I play. The game plays in landscape and you use the center button to move and so on, but the styles can be used to fire and do certain tasks which helps. I have only played for about thirty minutes so I am still getting use to the controls. The install is about 32 megs and the game recommends that you put it on an SD card which is what I did.

Well as long as the MP update is free (which it will be), they'll soon have accomplished all what they have promissed. An controls are the same with all 3D games on a PDA, no one will be happy with it ever :P

Btw, how ya know how we Germans look like, romita151 :D
Just kidding, I know what ya mean ^^

Romita--I'm assuming you were using a none-gfx accelerated PDA? When I tested the beta on my x50 mid there was the choice for high resolution or low resolution. I chose low res because it ran extremely smoothly, but when i wanted high resolution all i had to do was pause the game and go to settings... Have you tried that?

I have a 51v with the graphics on high. I guess what I am getting at is I expected a little more detail in a game like COD but I understand that you can only get so much out of these little guys. Plus I am sure battery life played a role in the development.

I suspect the low details is to keep texture sizes low, reducing in an overall reduced game size. During development, Menneisyys and myself pleaded with Aspyr to offer the choice of a high texture pack for those of us prepared to dedicate the space, but sadly it didn't come about. :(

We're working on a massive review at PocketGamer (currently at 4 pages and packed with screenshots) which should be up within the next day or two.

Yes, it would be nice to be able to download it, I like being able to download stuff, there's no waiting, you simply buy it and get it.

This is very good news, I personally believe this is one of the best Pocket PC games released to date. Does anyone know what the difference is between this version and the beta released to the previewers a while back? Perhaps I will just ask the source...
