Bookworm Directory Name?

I'm having problems restoring with Sprite (which their tech support is helping me with). In the mean time, I am trying to restore my Bookworm, but I cannot seem to find it in any of my saves which does not make sense.

Can some kind soul who also has it please tell me the name of the directory that it is installed in on their PPC?

Thanks,
Dobermann

I have Astraware's Bookworm....

Using File explorer
My Device>Program Files>Astraware>Bookworm>

2 files
Bookworm-arm
ga-DATA

The ga-DATA is where the saves are...

Hope this helps

Perhaps you have it installed in built-in memory or on a external memory media? If so, the Sprite would not have backed it up (at least, not by default). Have you checked on these?.

Thanks very much - I can now look around in the different backups to find the saved game file. This will also be a good time to try out the new Sprite Explorer freebie, which should be perfect for this.

Thanks again,
Dobermann

Some of the backups I have do include the BIS & externals, others do not. Restores seemed to have been hit-and-miss, which is why I was wondering if there was also some reference in the Registry for the game. I'll have to see if restoring just the file that Susan mentions works.

Thanks,
Dobermann

Hope you are able to find it.

Most of my games are saved as ga-DATA or pdb or sav files.

When I back up my data, I usually do it on a SD or CF card, so you might want to check those as well (while you are looking)

Hope you are able to find it

Well, this is turning into work and no fun. I've basically given up on restoring or even trying to find one. I had over 242,000 points in the game that I guess I will just have to do all over again -- or so I would think. I'm now having other issues with it that I will start a new thread for.

Thanks for all your help!

I thought of another thing to try....

Have you tried to reinstall the game? Perhaps, it would find the data on the reinstall.

Where did you initially install Bookworm? Main memory or SD Card?

When you get to be my age, there is one thing you will notice -- certains things such as this you do not even think of remembering!

Actually, it could have also been in BIS or CF, too, knowing me.
