Beta-testing Jackpot Casino 2 game

We invite everyone who likes casino/card games to take part in beta-testing Jackpot Casino 2 game.

The updated game includes Craps, Caribbean Poker, 6 variants of Video Poker, Roulette, Blackjack and 2 variants of Slots. Some minor improvements to Jackpot Casino 1.* have been made (e.g., statistics for every game, repeating last bets in roulette, blackjack, caribbean poker and superslots etc.)

We are looking forward to your remarks about games, graphics, sound effects etc.

Initial thoughts:

-The Jack's "J" looks too similar to a one. I couldn't initially tell the difference until i saw the number 10 below the card.
-The opening menu has no sense of tactile feedback. The menu items do not light up, or change color, so it is hard to know what you tapped on until the game switches.
-Why use BMP's for images? If you are aiming for Treo's and mobile phones alike, size should be SMALL.
-The chips on VGA are TINY, and there appears to be ample room to fit larger ones in.
-Once chips are bet in BJ, they cannot be removed even though you have not hit "Deal"
-In super slots it is hard to tell what you have actually won when you hear the money jingle noise. Aside from doing the math in my head every time...

EXCELLENT GAME!!!
Using the VGA version on my Axim X50V, the only problem I encounted was every now, and then, the sound effects would stop, although the music was not affected. A simple restart of the game would correct this.
I would like to see the playing cards to be a little bigger. They seem to be a little hard to make out.
I would have like to see more slot machines in future versions.
All in all, I really enjoy this game, and I see it can quickly become one of my favorite games to play.

Hi, I downloaded the QVGA beta version to my Axim X30h, which has PPC2003SE.

Not sure what version it is, but the file size of the qvga_casino_demo.exe was 1968K.

You may want to add a suffix to the name like qvga_casino_demo_001.exe to identify the version. That way when people beta test, they can report the exact version tested.

You may also want to temporarily have the beta version show the version number in the corner of the screen (maybe on the upper left?). That way you will know what version was used when people provide screen captures.

(UPDATE - I just noticed it shows DEMO VERSION 2.0 on the Roulette Game, Blackjack, and Slots so you are already doing the above request, but not in all the games.)

I like the way the roulette wheel spins. It has a very realistic animation.

Blackjack looks very nice too.

Took a little while to figure out how to get the Slot Machine to spin the wheels, but I eventually got it. I would prefer to have it to automatically select the lines I am betting on, rather than having to select each line manually. I believe that's how real slot machines work, at least the ones I've played. For instance, if I play one coin, it would automatically select the middle line. If I bet two coins, it would select the middle and top line. And so on.

I found a bug while I was playing the Deuces Wild game. See my screen capture above. The first card is missing, and just shows the table thru the card frame.

I'll report other issues when I find them.

So far, it seems like a very nice game otherwise. Card backs have nice designs, and card faces look very detailed and realistic. :approve:

I'm not crazy about the moving box in the lower left which shows the running total. I think it needs to have a more obvious caption when it is in a "hidden mode" as depicted in the above screen capture. Or maybe just make it a permanent image on the screen, rather than one which partly disappears. It seems like too much extra work to have to tap it everytime you want to see the total.

Please update this thread whenever you release a new beta version. :)

I havn't found any bugs yet and have played it for about an hour, One thing I wish the game did have, however, is a ability to keep track of the money you have won and lost. Basically it would be nice to have a starting money and be able to win more as the game progresses. The blackjack is fun as is the video poker, as well as pretty much all of the other games. Thanks for letting me hav the chance to beta test it.

Also I didn't have the problem with removing chips after already betting them as biohzrd did, all I had to do was drag them out of the box and voula, the chip was removed and I did not have to bet it.

The game does have the ability to keep track of the player's money. You should tap the small square in the low-left corner, and the winnings counter will fly out.
As there are many questions about this counter and its position, we will change its appearance in the nearest update. We'll post in this thread when the update is ready.
