nah, I wouldn't mind the original shareware version or spear of destiny. As far as dead to, I was talking about games that were similar in playing style and graphics not those particular games themselves.

GTA is on the Palm, who knows why its not on the PPC,
I've got quake to work on my PPC, but its deathly slow,
makes game play no-fun, I think its even too slow for
show-off factor....


a WAD file is data for Doom, basically
levels and maps, and such...


The doom game is free, but you have to have
WAD files, The shareware versions are free .. and can
be played, but you have to own like Doom 2 or
ultimate doom2 to get those wads.

Actually, they just released the PalmOS Demo of it last year. But it was never fully released....the project was pulled for some reason.

There is a game called UnderQuest by Garga Games that I am playing now that is like Doom/Wolf 3d etc..... It seems real nice, I am just getting started, but I will be writing a review soon. ( or someone on our staff will )

i remember when i first got my ax. i was all excited to get all these cool looking games. RTS, 3D shooters, stuff like that. then i got some that got really good reviews and looked really good. then i realized something, they suck. they're hard to control and hard to see. the best games for pocket PCs are old school arcade game. 2d games and puzzle games, stuff like that. i tried play age of empires but i just couldn't stand it.

anyway, what was my point. i have no idea. :crooked: :D

tried pocket dos and managed to run sam and max on it but it was extremly slow
running about 1-2fps :rolling:

I agree with Chris..

It's a game that does draw one in. I downlaoded it 3 days ago and still have not finished the game. But for about 5 meg it should take awhile.

the progession of the game gets more difficult as you go but the premise is the same as wolf/ doom going through levels killing stuff. Chris how did you like that red healing babe!!!
