Problems Call of Duty 2...

Anyone is having problems with it?
I own a x50v with WM2003SE and I always get an error regarding the need of 16 MB of RAM free... (I have 41 MB of RAM free...)

If I start the unaccelerated version I get only a white screen with music and sounds as the game is really playing without graphics.

Can someone help me?

THANK You!

I have 20MB ram free to run it, but since you have 41MB free a hard reset maybe,?

Its a worth trying, please backup 1st incase you want to restore it.

running a x51v, though, it runs fine.

I got that error, but it really was below 16MB. After I freed up to 16.7 something MB, it worked fine.

I'd guess it is some incompatibility with some software.

Aspyr currently works to solve a bug that causes this (supposedly RAM) problem when keyboard or gamepad drivers are installed on a device.
(Btw I'm not a fan of useless posts like above so please avoid those in the future).

Thank You Michu...!
Seems to be my case...
I got a belkin thumboard so there are keyboard drivers installed on my x50v that could create the problem...

Once they release a patch, could somebody try it out on a keyboard? I really want to know how the gameplay is.

It's already not bad, but I think that a keyboard + possibly mouse would make it a pretty good mobile game.

heard it has a software graphics mode and hardware graphics mode (for supported device).

I wonder how we knows if our (X50V/X51V) is RUNNING the software graphics or hardware graphics mode?

I tried it on a 50v and 51v. I got a RAM warning on the 50v and it wouldn't ru from the shortcut link in the games folder BUT it ran perfectly if, using explorer, I hit the exe file directly. Not sure why but it's the same everytime (even though explorer uses more ram). The 51v doesn't have any problems even though the ram says it's lower than the recommended amount (and it still ran smooth).

Basic question time but how do you free up RAM on a 51v? Thanks!

An X51v or X50v would run it in Hardware mode, because of the Intel 2700G.

Devices without that, such as the X51, or X50, would run it in software mode.

Icon14 Update...!!!

At last I did a hard reset... And it did the job...
So I thought I could try another way:
I restored everything from the backup and the game didn't work anymore. Then I used Oxios Memory http://www.oxios.com/memory/
to launch the hibernate command and at last it worked!!!!!!

The strange thing is that after the first time the game will work every time I'll launch it. I don't need anymore to launch hibernate even If I soft reset.
It seems that I had a very fragmented memory before and only Oxios Memory recovered a large chunk of it to have the 16Mb of free RAM.

Could anyone confirm this?

Thank You
