Video glitches with Arvale II on X51v

I just got my X51v a couple days ago and it's my first PDA. I decided to try Arvale II and installed to demo. I've gotten through the first level and I'm beginning to have serious video glitches kicking in more and more quickly after I start the game. The screen seems to lose vertical alignment and the whole picture flickers up and down more and more violently until I shut down Arvale. The problem doesn't go away immediately when I turn off the game, but once the video has recovered it behaves itself perfectly unless I restart the game.

I'm just about ready to decide that the game is not going to work, but I'm so new to the OS and the hardware that I thought I'd ask before giving up on it. I have no idea whether this is a problem in the game, or a problem with the OS or hardware which has only shown itself in Arvale. I haven't tried any other games on the device. If I soft reset while suffering the glitch, the glitch is likely to affect the Dell and Windows Mobile splash screens during boot but will have completely cleared up by the time my Today screen has fully come up.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

P.S. Arvale is installed on a Transcend 150x 4GB SD Card.
Other software I've added is:
PlecoDict (a Chinese-English dictionary application) on SD Card
TranCreative Magic Button on Main Memory
Oracle Calendar Sync Helper Files on Main Memory
Also briefly installed was Spb Pocket Plus Trial Version. I'm not experienced enough with the OS to know how clean the uninstall was, but it looks gone.

P.S. This information might also help:
Arvale is installed on a Transcend 150x 4GB SD Card

Other added software:
PlectoDict (a Chinese-English dictionary application: http://pleco.com) on SD Card
TransCreative Magic Button on Main Memory
Oracle Calendar Sync Helper Files on Main Memory

I also installed and uninstalled a trial version of Spb Pocket Plus. I'm not experienced in PPC to be sure the uninstall is clean.

I've also got Arvale 2 installed on SD card (with loads of other software installed - see my PDA) and have no problems with this game (or any other) on my Axim X51v. Have you tried re-installing the game? Also try installing to main memory to see if that makes any difference.

Thanks. The problem got a lot worse to the point where I couldn't use the Axim at all. Then... it just... got better. I don't really understand the situation, but... ?

:scratch_h

Anyway... it works.

You might want to think about swapping your Axim - I've played Arvale II all the way through on my X51v and never encountered a problem. Does it make a difference if you choose a different character?
