Many thanks to Andy Messner from Aspyr for getting in touch with news on the upcoming multiplayer update to Call of Duty 2. In addition, a working demo version is now available to download from PocketGear.
Multiplayer features include:
* Up to 4 players maximum
* Internet and LAN games
* Works over WiFi or mobile broadband (i.e. GPRS, EDGE, etc)
* Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch modes
* 4 multiplayer maps
* Features dedicated server software to run on a PC, or, you can host and play on a Pocket PC
The multiplayer version will be offered as a free download to all registered users of the game, and is scheduled for an April release.

Let me disagree. In the PC version, you can much more easily "get lost" and just wander around (of course, the compass helps a lot to avoid this). In the PPC version, it's almost impossible because of the MUCH smaller / more linear maps.
