Golf: Which is the best?

I'm confused as to which golf game is the best, and i'm to lazy to give them each a try.

So what are the main points about each one and what are some pros and cons about the following if anyone knows:

Zio Golf 2
Hexacto Links
CE Craft iGolf
CE Craft iGolf 2

I like Tiger Woods. Links is OK, but its way to slow to play....

I have Zio Golf, it's a little too easy. I'm gonna try Links, it looks awesome...

I agree. I was about to buy Links when I saw the amazing graphics, but the gameplay is way too slow. You control the swing....then there's about a 3-5 second delay....then the animated player finally starts swinging and hits the ball. Putting is pretty tough as well IMO.

I've played 1000s of holes on ZioGolf2 (same as Tiger Woods basically....both by Zio Interactive). It has excellent gameplay, with very little delay when swinging or putting. I think I'll hold off on Links until they release a faster version on down the road sometime.

As I reviewed in the user Review section, Links is the new king in golf games. The graphics are spectacular.
It'll be completely unbeatable once they release the other courses.

Oh I agree with the graphics, but to me golf is more fun when it is quicker. I don't really care for the speed of links. Also what the heck were they thinking of no tourney and only one golfer at a time. How boring is that? Tiger Woods golf allows Stroke Play, THE SKINS GAME, Match Play, Four Ball and Foursomes.

Links looks better than any other golf game out there, but I enjoy playing others even if its only the computer...

Actually, I've been told that the full version of Links does allow you to have more than one golfer playing....and you can play against Computer players. Again, this is just what I was told by someone who has purchased it.

As for tourney mode, my ZioGolf2 doesn't have that either....so I'm not missing it. I might have to check into Tiger....wasn't aware it had those gameplay modes.

Like you said, the graphics of Links are awesome....but the slow play just makes it very boring. I can finish an entire round in ZioGolf2 very quickly....it'd probably take over an hour to do that at the rate Links plays.

If that is the case, then I take it back. I didn't see anything on the website about it and the demo version doesn't have the option.

Well there is really no true tourney against 50-100 pros, but you do get to play skins, and matchplay...

Which has always been a problem with golf games. The ones that look great don't play great. What I am hopeful is that Zio will look at links and improve tiger to match it.

My thoughts exactly. Although, hopefully they won't improve the graphics to the point that it compromises gameplay speed! Plus, the Zio golf games look great.....just not as good as Links does.

I've heard everyone talk about TigerWoods, Zio Golf, and Links, but iGolf by CE Craft looks like it's got pretty good graphics (not quite Links but better than Zio Golf) and gameplay looks decent also.

How does CE Craft's iGolf and iGolf 2 compare?

An inexpensive albeit primitive alternative(although cool) is to buy\try clickgamer`s(discounted on this site) commodore 64 emulator and play zillions of old c64 golf games from such sites as lemon64.com i.e world leaderboard etc. - emulator $6.95 - games I think are classed has abandonware and therefore free - I am not sure of the legality of later if you do not own the original rom.

I also prefer igolf 2 to original (I have full version of 2 and demo only of original)although you can control gameplay in the original - the control \ graphics still feels better in 2.

Alright....I just tried out Tiger Woods PPC. At first I was pleased with it, due to being able to play CPU players in Skins games.....and also, the graphics were slightly better than ZioGolf2.

However, I think I'm still going to stick with ZioGolf2. Tiger Woods is faster thank Links is, but slower than ZioGolf2. After playing ZioGolf2 for so many months, it made me really impatient trying to play Tiger Woods. I like a really fast moving game, and if I have to sacrifice a little bit of graphics to get than, then so be it. The main lag that I am speaking about is during the swing. With ZioGolf2, you control the swing and your character immediately swings. In Tiger Woods, after you control it, there is a slight delay before the character swings. In Links, the delay is huge.

Cool Played them all...........

Go with Tiger Woods. Better game play! Just the right feel for PPC.

As you know....
