Battle Chess for the PPC? Yes

Anyone remember the game Battle Chess for the PC? Now you can have a similar game for your Axim. Just released yesterday, the game Chesscapade is wonderful. Although you start out with a normal board, when you go to capture a piece, the pieces transform and murder each other. :D I think this is going to be my next purchase.

I can't download the demo

I was able to download the demo just fine. Try just going to the main handango page and do a search for Chesscapade and then try to download the demo from there.

So far I am really enjoying it, although I wish they had a hint option. :D Another interesting thing is that they are planning on having different board and pieces sets available for download in the future.

I remember Battle Chess. But I believe I can think of 2 that are older. Sargon and Archon :) Can anyone name a battling chess game that older?? I think those are the first ones I played ...

I just DL'd the demo and loaded it.

Welllll, it ain't quite "BattleChess". The graphics aren't as good nor are the fight scenes...but it's entertaining nontheless.

I'd REALLY like to see a real BattleChess for PPC, but this isn't oo bad.

Ok, what am I doing wrong? I went to Handango, did a search for Chesscapade, went to that page and then did trial. I have the zip file, but when I click on setupapp.exe, it gets as far as the screen where you accept the license agreement. The only text that is showing up there is page cannot be displayed. I tried agreeing anyway and going ahead, but it won't work. Any ideas?

I tried the demo and it was nice! I'm not paying US$18 for it but it was well made..

Not bad. i just wish the pieces were always i ntheir monster form, as i like it that way in battle-chess (though they were humans). And yeah, the fights in battle chess were better because they wernt just one simple swipe and hes dead, but oh well this is still a cool little chess game. Id pick it up for 10, but not 18, at least in its current phase.

My 7 year old loves this game. She said "it's like wizard's chess!". If you have read the Harry Potter books or seen the movies, you will understand.
