head 2 head gaming?

Seems like someone else here mentioned head to head gaming via IR.

I'm interested in a checkers game that would allow 2 players to each have an Axim, within a few feet of each other, and play checkers, or chess.

Are there any such games available today w/this functionality? I am willing to pay for the right package. Specifically Checkers to start and possibly Chess later.

Please let me know.

AdvTHANKSance

I'm not positive, but couldnt you set up a private network with a bluetooth or wifi card with someone and play games? Maybe it woudl behoove us to check if such a thing is possible. plus, if you are into the ir thing, there are some IR extenders out there that allow you to use the ax for a tv remote, but I am sure would do just as well for making your extended gaming better (rather than a few feet, across a room for instance)

I don't know about IR gaming, but we have a wireless network set up in the house. Works great for Snails and Hearts

Ya, wireless seems to make the most sense. I was just trying to see if it would be possible to do this w/out having to invest anymore. looks like perhaps not. sigh.

The IR range is pretty crappy on the Axim, anyway.
