What FPS should I be getting with PocketNester?

I finally got my Axim Advanced 400 mhz :)

Loaded up Pocket Nester and threw Super Mario Bros 1 on there.

I'm getting only ~25 fps though when playing? this seems low. Any suggestions how I can speed it up? thanks!

ok, 30 views and no replies. could someone at least tell me there frame rates they get on their Axim Advanced with Nester.

(the number in the lower left hand corner while running a game)

I thought I read somewhere that people get 30+ fps and i'm only getting ~25 fps and the games are a tad choppy for my liking. I didn't think this would be the case with a 400 mhz processor

nitsuj3580, it sounds like you probably have an Axim with WM2003 OS. Most people on this forum that have received new units with WM2003 are reporting they are running slow. WM2003 was just barely released and apparently Dell didn't do a good job adapting the new OS to their Axims. Hopefully a patch will be released soon that will fix the "sluggishness."

By the way, I get between 30-45 fps on Pocket Nester with an Axim Advanced running PPC2002 OS.

i have a basic axim, and i only get like 17-23 fps, but thats because i put the frameskip to 2 instead of auto, i dunno why but it seems smoother this way. btw i get around 30 with auto.
