Where can I get Egghead?

I've recently had the time to look into games, and it seems that many people here have recommended Egghead. The problem is that I can't seem to locate the free version; I think the developer has renamed it Eggstreme and it now costs $7.95

Does anyone know if the original and free version still exists? And if so, where can I get it?

I looked and couldn't find it, either. Well, I found it, but the link is dead. It looks like Clickgamer made sure that it has to be bought now. Unless someone still has the free copy.

Darn, looks like I didn't save it to my PC. I could try to copy from my Ax and send to you. Don't know if that would work, though.

Sorry! I didn't know that this was considered wrong.

It was distributed as freeware before easter, so I figured that sharing my copy of it with others would be okay. I'd be glad to remove the link if you'd like.

I have a question for you. Since this version was distributed as freeware does the release of a newer renamed non freeware title negate this applications freeware status. I can see from a business stand point why clickgamer would not want to distribute this title now that they have the new version, but I don't see how it's release can invalidate the terms of use on this version. I am not trying to be a jerk, but am actually curious if software companies can do that. :)

I am not saying it is not legal, only that it is borderline. I do not honestly think clickgamer will mind as it is viral marketing. That is why I did not remove it.

which appears to be a legit (but slow) site offering
free and commercial software.

So I wouldn't worry too much.
