Hey, anyone here have Age Of Empires? What do you think of the game, was it worth its price ($30) and any lag time?

I have it and I LOVE it I have had it lock up a couple of times. I am trying to figure out if maybe I need more free memory? I have also noticed that if I turn off the Axim without exiting the game, the game has no sound when I turn the Axim back on. It is a very cool game. You can dowload the demo and give it a try.

Hey, this might seem like a stupid question but how do you beat the demo? I have tried a lot and I can't figure out what I'm suppose to do. It seem that the other team always has a lot of religion going on, how do you start them?

I have been playing it for a few days and love the graphics. I downloaded the PDF file for the online manual but haven't had the time to read it yet. I plays real nice. Anyone having problems with thier D-pad controlling the map? Mine works good.

I like the game a lot, Kinda hard to see at times but an amazing rendition of the full-size original.

My D-pad sticks every so often and I was worried that I may have a defective one...what did you mean when you said "changed it to recognize slower in settings"....step the processor down to 200mhz ??

I had a hard time figuring things out, too. You have to build houses, granaries, storage areas. You have to populate your village. You can build archery ranges and stuff like that to train your warriors. The warriors come in handy because they can defend your village or attack another. I found you can build a temple and then you can get priests... very cool stuff! You just kind of have to play around

[ I found this solution on another board. If you go to Settings, choose Buttons, then choose the Up/Down control, and move the delay and repeat rate as far to the left as you can. ]
