Yes, I've tried it, liked it and bought it.

The only thing missing from the original game is Hyperspace. It's v1.0 so a couple of things they might want to add is button mapping, maybe landscape? IMHO, it plays fine the way it is, so none of those were dealbreakers.

Yeah, I was skeptical when I found it, fortunately, there is a demo. I don't remember the restrictions on the demo, but it gave me enough playable time to get a feel for it. As always, Your Mileage May Vary.

Defender was one of my most favorite games! Thanks for the info. I just can't imagine Defender without hyperspace though.
