Yes, GTS Racing has been my new favorite game ever since I got to review it several weeks ago. I haven't forked out for the full version yet, because I've been pretty busy....but plan to do so this week as I'll have some free time. Oh, and check out my review in the "Staff Reviews" section if you haven't played it and wanna see some nice screenshots.

It looks really sweet ... In this Handheld Computing Magazine I got they listed another title similar to GTS Racing that has the same quality graphics, etc. Its name: Michael Shumacher Racing World Kart 2002. Website: www.inverse-entertainment.com This was in the July 2003 issue of Handheld Computing (the Entertainment Superguide Issue)

The controls on World Kart were horrible, in my opinion at least. It's hard to find a racing game that plays good on a Pocket PC....but GTS Racing controls are excellent, but it is more of an Arcade-style racing game. I'd rather give up a little on the graphics, to get the best controls out of a game.

If you're speaking of GTS Racing, look in the Members Discount Forum (link in my signature)....Astraware is offering Aximsite members a discount on it for a limited time.

I can't stand playing this game! The horizon depth (or whatever you want to call it) is not deep enough for me. things just pop up way to quick (cars, turns) for you to react. nice graphics but I personally don't find it fun to play for these reasons.

Wow, GTS Racing seems to me to have the best reaction times of any racing game on the PPC market. If you don't feel like you can react to this one, then I wouldn't even try with the other games out there. :)

That may be true. I haven't played too many racing games for the PPC. However good the use of 'mode 7' is in GTS racing, you still need to rely on arrows to turn. That's what I'm talking about. It just doesn't feel like you are racing; the horizon is funny. Other racing games probably are worse. If PocketHeretic/Hexen can make it to the PPC then I think racing games have more potential to simulate a 3d environment.

I don't know if that game is any good, but it looks like it has a decent horizon!

I tested this one back when I was beta testing Need For Speed. They were both very similar, and had lousy controls. The graphics were awesome....but what good is that when the car keeps crashing off the road and into the wall when you just minutely steer left or right.

They released the beta version of it to the testers.....then backed out of the project without ever finishing it. So for now at least, there are no more plans of a PPC Need for Speed. Which isn't a bad thing, as the controls were awful. :)
