Kyle's Quest 2

As requested, a seperate Kyle's Quest 2 thread has been started.

The complete levels are:
Blood of Gods
Bones DX
Darnath's Revenge
Dragontopia
New Revelations
Commoria
Stones of Power
Scarlett Tide
Eye of Illuminati
Jeremy's Quest

And I have tons of incomplete levels, of course.

Re: Kyle's Quest 2

Did you make those levels? I'm wondering because of this comment..

If those are well known levels then sorry for the stupid question, but I've never played the game.

These were made by various other talented authors. I have the incomplete levels that were started by other people, but not finished. No, it is not a stupid question at all. The developer of the engine provided a free level editor, so that other people can make their own levels to share with other people. Also, a lot of people have started levels because there is a level development contest sometime this month.

how massive are those levels, and how long would it take an average user to finish them as well as the original? I'm really considering buying this.

It really depends on the level. If you are into leveling up and getting the best weapons, some levels can take a few days. There is one level in development right now that the developer has been working on for almost a year and keeps adding new things. New Revelations and Dragontopia are two of the shorter levels. It also depends on how much time you have to devote to the level per day. I am hoping that the number of levels goes up with the contest in effect.

Also, quite a bit of the KQ Classic levels can last around a few days to a week, and there are 60 of those.

Are all those levels you listed on the KG2 web site? I was there a while back and did not see that many. I too had KG1 for my old Palm device and loved it. Now that I have it in color I can't seem to stop playing it.

Let me know where the download site is if it is not on the KG2 page.

Thanks.

No, they are not ALL on the KQ2 page. Two, New Revelations and Dragontopia, are here. Two of the others you can only get by emailing the author. I can't remember where I managed to find stones of power. The rest are on the download page.

If I remember correctly, the original version was never free, it was shareware. If you wanted to save/load games, then you had to register. I was just relieved that Kyle finally made the original version work on 2002.

That, I cannot tell you. One of them was pulled by the level author due to an argument and the second level he made is only available if you email him. One is just a rather old level that the author was not satisfied with. And the other two, I have no idea about. It may be the kind of thing where they emailed Kyle for access, but never got an answer.
