WOW PocketSNES on WM2003 A05 IS Fast

I can;t believe it, after updating to WM2003 what a difference> I got Full speed emulation with sound diabled and Really good speed with it enabled, at medium sound sampling. Has wm2003 finally been optimized for the Xscale processor?

I would say the OS has been optimized. I get very playable speeds without sound, but with sound most games are just barely playable for my tastes, big improvement indeed. What games have you run, and also, do you find any button lag sometimes, at times I get massive button lag, especially with sound on, just wondering if I'm the only one.

Would you mind sharing your exact settings to get sound to work?

*edit* NM, I did some experimenting and got it to work.

The games that I have tried so Far are

Super Mario World
Chrono Trigger
Gundam
Street Fighter 2
CastleVania 3
Oger Battle
Final Fantasy 3

And after installing XcpuScalar, I now have full speed with sound on most of these games with transparency enabled. This is great.

The latest Morphgear runs faster on my Ax than PocketSNES BE. The only downside is that Morphgear isn't the most up-to-date port of SNES9x so it's compatibilty is lower for now.

I'm mostly been trying action games like, mario, contra, metroid, mario kart, and super punch out. So I take it no one else is getting occasional button lag, like hit the jump button, and half a second later he jumps?

The people that are getting full speed SNES: Do you have the 255, or the 250? I have the 250 :( but I am hoping WM2003 will still help since it is optimised for Xscale. what do you think?

Rhuarc, I have the 250, and I find that games like Final Fantasy 3 are now more than playable on my device without sound. I'm getting about 30fps in that game. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise - WM2003 gives huge performance boosts on the 250.

I have a PXA255, that is probably where most of the extra speed is coming from. I don't know what kind of performance boost the PXA250 whould get.
