Hi, I am pretty well stuck in "Black Core Logic".

I have visited the 3 corporation buildings and have an inventory bulging with datacubes and discs. I assume I need to get a portable deck of some kind to run them on (and to connect with the Suzuki portal) but I can't seem to use any of the money I've acquired (2 grand, 1 grand and 10 credits) to acquire one from the Djinn brothers. Also, I have a level 4 trojan jack upgrade but not 2 and 3? What am I missing? My icebreaker has been upgraded to level 2 and I've already started up the reactors in the Fuji and Suzuki buildings.

Also, has anybody figured out how to adjust the gamma on this game? Many of the locations are so dark, I resort to random stylus stabbing to make sure I've picked up everything that can be picked up.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

What version of the game do you have?

It's that time of year again. I need a new holiday avatar... Is there anyone up to the challenge?

 

I downloaded it from PocketGear, so version 1.1.

I have noticed that certain sections of the game do not seem completely finished? Eg certain rooms in the corporation buildings when you click on a door come up with text placeholders.

Do I need to upgrade to another version? And how?

Oh sorry, I have managed to get to the gamma correction screen at the main menu, but am just completely clueless as to what to do next? On my PDA, there is just a screen stating Gamma with a back arrow at the bottom and the same background graphic as for the main menu.

I have been pushing every button on my PDA and nothing really seems to affect the look of the screen.

from what i can remember:
the movie guy, who lost his access card (cinema in china town) has trojan jack upgr. 2 (give him your regular access card - the first inv. item in the game)
i THINK the girl in the restaurant has the other one, but if forget what you give her or do.

i've spent the ten dollars, i think, but i can't remember where :S i'll take a look tho, ive given up playing for a while.

go to the gamma screen, and just click in the EXACT middle of the screen about where the guys nose or lips are, its a slider, but its invisible at its lowest setting (DUH programming),
you'll figure it out from there.

I think she gets the police file ... the one on that guy who's shop was robbed. I can't remember his name.

I have now upgraded my trojan jack to level 4 successfully!

mgrimace, might be able to help a little in turn. You need to combine the chocolate and energy drink in your inventory and then heat them up in the microwave (lab in Chinatown). If you do that and present the hot energy drink to one of the cops, he will give you an icebreaker upgrade (mine now up to level 2).

Never got that far. Then of course my 2215 required a hard reset and I just haven't had the heart to start over.

Had been thinking of getting this game, but it sounds like one big bag of frustration, is it worth it do you think?

i quit playing it at the same point other people seem to be stuck,

maybe if there were a walkthrough or in game hints or something available,

but i wouldnt get it.
seems most people give it up out of frustration

I am new to this game. I have been in three apartments, the apartment entrance, the street with Chen's gun shop. I have a swipe card, letter, portable, DeGama's letter, a bullet and a power source. I can't seem to be able to go any where else. Can someone help me?
