Worms World Party on the hx4700

Ok,

So i am aware that the hx4700 isnt the 'best' gaming ppc out there, what with its touch pad... but. I have gotten worms world party, cos, worms is great, and worms on the ppc is just awesome, but i have a problem, that being fireing.

Mainly that (perhaps due to the fact that the buttons round the dpad can be pressed, and pressed and held i.e. are dual buttons) i can not fire properly

. Is there anyway to fire other than just tapping the firebutton (i.e. my bazooka just blows up ontop of me cos i cant power it up). I thought about using the microphone button, but it doesnt seem to be recognised by the game.

ok, problem semi solved: now using the recording button on the side of the unit...

Robert, I think you have been led astray as far as the claims of our 4700 being the "best" gaming unit. All review and reports I've read have been the exact opposite adn I would have to agree. The 4700 was designed as a business machine, with it's power, speed and VGA screen meant for most things other than games. Don't get me wrong if you check out MyPDA you'll see that I do quite well with games on my 4700. However, I only have games that are playable via the stylus. The D-Pad and buttons are horrible for gaming. As you have found out, due to the fact that there are no raised parts in that area, action games are very annoying.

One other thing that caught my attention. The buttons are not raised and are actually covered with a thin plastic. I would think that with repeated and prolonged use(ie firing in an action game), that plastic layer would eventually crack around the button.

blueradish, I think you missunderstood what I was saying, I said "...i am aware that the hx4700 isnt the 'best' gaming ppc..." meaning that the hx4700 is NOT the best ppc for gaming!
